Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court on Monday postponed for three weeks the hearing on a batch of PILs concerning land near Hyderabad Central University at Kancha Gachibowli.
The petitions challenge the state government’s decision to hand over the land to Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC), which is now preparing to develop it for IT firms.
Four separate public interest litigations were filed against the government’s move and the use of JCB machinery on the site.
Petitioners urged the court to cancel the government order transferring the land to TSIIC.
A related case is currently pending before the Supreme Court. Citing this, the bench led by the Chief Justice deferred the High Court hearing for three weeks.
