Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Cricket Association’s Apex Council has suspended president Jaganmohan Rao, secretary Devaraj, and treasurer C.J. Srinivasa Rao as corruption investigations by the CID gather pace.
The decision was taken in a meeting held on July 28. The Enforcement Directorate is also probing allegations of fraud, fund misuse, and abuse of office.
The Apex Council cited its obligation to uphold integrity, transparency, and accountability. It said the suspensions were aimed at protecting the credibility of the association and its wider interests.
The action was taken under HCA Rules 41(6) and 51(4)(D).
Vice President Darjeet Singh will serve as interim president, the council said.
