Hyderabad: Telangana IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu on Wednesday inaugurated HCA Healthcare’s first Global Capability Center (GCC) at Raidurg, Hyderabad. The U.S.-based company announced plans to invest USD 75 million in the facility by 2025.
HCA Healthcare to create 3,000 jobs by 2026
The new GCC spans 400,000 square feet. HCA Healthcare said the centre will employ 1,200 people in 2024 and expand to 3,000 by 2026. The company, which operates 190 hospitals and 2,400 care sites across the U.S. and U.K., has an annual revenue of USD 70 billion and employs 316,000 professionals worldwide.
Minister Sridhar Babu said the centre reflects the confidence global healthcare leaders place in Telangana’s ecosystem. He added that the investment will strengthen Hyderabad’s role as a hub for research, innovation, and global operations.
Hyderabad emerging as healthcare and life sciences hub
Sridhar Babu said Hyderabad had evolved into the epicentre of IT, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and life sciences. The city hosts world-class hospitals, more than 800 pharmaceutical companies, and several global capability centres.
He said HCA Healthcare’s entry endorsed Hyderabad’s position as a global healthcare and life sciences capital where affordability, quality, and trust converge.
