Hyderabad: Heavy rains are likely in several districts of Telangana over the next three days, the India Meteorological Department said on Thursday.
A low-pressure area has formed over the north Odisha and West Bengal coasts in the Bay of Bengal. In addition, a trough extends from the Arabian Sea to the Bay of Bengal via Chhattisgarh.
The weather department said the system is expected to bring rainfall on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday across multiple parts of the state. Heavy rainfall is likely in parts of the erstwhile districts of Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Warangal, Khammam, Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Medak, and Nalgonda. Moderate rainfall is expected elsewhere.
On Thursday, scattered locations in Adilabad, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Medak, Nizamabad, Kamareddy, Karimnagar, and Suryapet districts received moderate to heavy rainfall.
