Around 7 a.m., the internal road from National Highway 44 to the company unit caved in, damaging a culvert. The bus tilted but all passengers remained safe. Employees are now travelling via the Ambatpally and Mahabubnagar bypass.
Traffic slowed on NH-44 near Hotel Udipi Srikrishna between Bhootpur and Sherpally after the Komatikunta stream overflowed. District police managed the situation and advised motorists to call 100 for help.
Heavy rains disrupt traffic, force Koil Sagar gate openings
Continuous rain since Wednesday pushed Koil Sagar reservoir to full capacity. Irrigation staff opened two gates, releasing 1,500 cusecs downstream. In Jadcherla, water flooded the Road under Bridge near the polytechnic college. The service road at Kavrampet also went under water after Nalla Cheruvu overflowed, disrupting vehicle movement.
Officials warned drivers to use caution on waterlogged roads and avoid risky crossings until the rain eases.
