Hyderabad: Heavy rain lashed Vikarabad district for the second consecutive day, swelling streams and ponds and sending a heavy flood surge into the Esa and Musi rivers. As a result, continuous downpour from the Ananthagiri hills flooded several low-lying areas.
Authorities therefore warned tourists to avoid Ananthagiri and Kotipalli projects due to unsafe conditions. District Collector Prateek Jain and Superintendent of Police meanwhile reviewed the situation. Consequently, officials issued an orange alert across Vikarabad following the heavy rainfall.
