HYDERABAD: The Telangana High Court has dismissed the case filed under High Court Dismisses Case Against KTR, concerning an alleged violation of the election code of conduct by Minister K.T. Rama Rao. The court cited lack of evidence and insufficient legal grounds for its decision.
The case had alleged that KTR violated election regulations during a campaign. However, the court ruled that the evidence presented by the complainant was inadequate to substantiate the allegations. It further stated that the basic proof required to proceed with the case was not available.
K.T. Rama Rao’s legal team argued before the court that their client had not violated the election code at any point and that the accusations were baseless and politically motivated. After hearing arguments from both sides, the court decided to dismiss the case, providing major relief to KTR.
Political analysts have described the verdict as a significant political win for the BRS party. Expressing satisfaction with the decision, KTR stated that truth always prevails and that the ruling vindicated his position.
It is noteworthy that allegations of election code violations often surface during electoral periods, but the court clarified that such complaints must be backed by concrete evidence to carry any weight. The High Court Dismisses Case Against KTR ruling highlights the importance of transparency and adherence to legal standards in the state’s judicial proceedings.
