Hyderabad: The High-Power Committee formed to transform Osmania University into a world-class campus met on Saturday to review initial proposals for a ₹1,000 crore infrastructure upgrade.
₹1,000 crore plan aims at academic and research excellence
Government Advisor K. Keshava Rao chaired the review meeting, where officials discussed the first draft of the campus redevelopment blueprint. The plan follows benchmarking visits to institutions such as the Indian School of Business (ISB) and IIT-Hyderabad.
Officials from the Telangana Growth and Economic Development and Infrastructure Corporation (TGEWIDC) presented preliminary layouts. The proposal focuses on student-centric and sustainable growth, aiming to enhance academic, research, and recreational infrastructure across the historic university campus.
The committee will meet again next week to finalize the revised master plan and move toward execution.
