Hyderabad: Himayathsagar reservoir reached its full tank level on Wednesday following steady inflows triggered by heavy rainfall over the past two days.
Officials of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) said water levels in both Himayathsagar and Osmansagar are being monitored hourly.
As of 6 pm, inflows into Himayathsagar touched 2,000 cusecs, pushing the water level to 1,763 feet—the reservoir’s full tank capacity.
Osmansagar remained slightly below capacity, with the water level at 1,782 feet against its full tank level of 1,790 feet. Inflows there were recorded at 150 cusecs.
