Hyderabad: As part of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment’s call, the “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan” was observed at the Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) office in Rasoolpura on Wednesday. HMRL Managing Director N.V.S. Reddy administered a pledge to officials and staff, urging collective action against drug abuse.
Reddy said Hyderabad Metro Rail was committed to playing an active role in the fight against narcotics.
HMRL joins nationwide pledge against drug abuse
During the event, participants pledged to inform authorities about any sale, purchase or illegal transport of drugs. They also vowed to support the Telangana government’s drive to create a drug-free society and to contribute to the national mission with their best efforts.
The Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA) has completed five years since its launch in 2020. It is a nationwide anti-drug initiative aimed at reducing substance abuse through prevention, awareness, treatment, and rehabilitation, focusing on India’s most vulnerable districts.
