A tragic road accident in Mallampalli, Mulugu, claimed the lives of a couple after a lorry collided with their two-wheeler. Police have registered a case and started an investigation.
HYDERABAD: A fatal road accident occurred near Mallampalli village in Mulugu district on Thursday, resulting in the deaths of a husband and wife who were traveling on a two-wheeler.
According to local sources, the victims, identified as Sheikh Shaheen (45) and Sheikh Mahmood (52), had visited the weekly market in Mallampalli to purchase a goat. After completing their purchase, they were returning home on a TVS Excel two-wheeler when a speeding lorry coming from Narsampet towards Mallampalli collided with them head-on.
The impact was severe, and the lorry ran over the couple, killing them on the spot.
Upon receiving information, the police arrived at the accident site and identified the deceased as residents of Budharaopet village, Khanapur Mandal, Warangal district. A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway.
