HYDERABAD: In an effort to enhance Hyderabad’s image at the national level, the city-wide beautification works worth Rs 150 crore are progressing, Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi said.
On Monday evening, she formally inaugurated beautification works at Road No. 45, Jubilee Hills, and Sheikpet Nala Junction. The combined cost of these projects is estimated at Rs 49 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion, the Mayor stated that Hyderabad already holds international recognition in the tourism sector. The state government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, is taking special initiatives to further elevate the city’s reputation. As part of this effort, beautification works are being undertaken across 106 locations in the city, with a total estimated budget of Rs 150 crore. She added that 78 of these projects have been completed, while the remaining ones are in various stages of progress.
The Mayor detailed that Rs 24 lakh has been allocated for the beautification at Sheikpet Nala, while Rs 25 lakh has been spent on Road No. 45 in Jubilee Hills.
Several officials and public representatives attended the event, including Zonal Commissioner Anurag Jayant, Deputy Commissioner Prashanti, SE Ratnakar, EE Vijay Kumar, Sheikpet Corporator Paras, and Zonal Horticulture Officer Balayya.
