Hyderabad: A private travels bus fire at SR Nagar in Hyderabad around midnight. The driver evacuated passengers before flames destroyed the vehicle.
The incident happened near the Umesh Chandra statue junction. The bus, traveling from Miyapur to Vijayawada, suddenly went up in flames. The driver stopped the vehicle immediately and made passengers get down. Fire spread quickly and burned the bus completely. Firefighters reached the spot with two fire tenders and controlled the blaze.

Officials said the fire started in the bus’s air-conditioning unit. The incident caused a massive traffic jam between Kukatpally and Panjagutta. Thick smoke filled the SR Nagar Metro Station. Metro services had already stopped for the night, which helped commuters avoid panic.
Police registered a case and began an investigation. They confirmed that no casualties occurred.
