Hyderabad: A Hyderabad couple on holiday in Goa was assaulted near Panaji bus station following a dispute over a rented bike, local police said.
According to reports, the couple had hired a bike near Panaji bus station. When they returned to hand it back, the rental operators allegedly demanded an additional ₹200. An argument broke out when the couple refused to pay the extra charge.
Assault leaves couple injured
During the altercation, the rental operators attacked the couple. The husband sustained a head injury, while his pregnant wife suffered facial injuries. Locals alerted police, who shifted the couple to Goa Medical College for treatment.
The victims lodged a complaint at the local police station. Officers registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
