Hyderabad: Heavy rain hit several districts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh on Saturday after a cyclone crossed the Bay of Bengal. Weather experts said a fresh low-pressure system triggered widespread showers across both states.
Officials warned that Greater Hyderabad may face heavy to very heavy rain in the next few hours. Thick black clouds already covered the skies by afternoon.

The Met Department said scattered showers may hit Saroor Nagar, Saidabad, Meerpet, Rajendranagar, Chandrayangutta, Charminar, Malakpet, and LB Nagar. Rain may also fall in Bandlaguda Jagir, Serilingampally, Shaikpet, Gachibowli, Langar Houz, and Golconda within two hours.
Forecasters added that more city areas could see moderate showers with thunder and lightning during the evening and night.
