HYDERABAD: A 6-year-old boy was trapped in a lift at an apartment complex in Shanti Nagar, Masab Tank. The incident occurred when the child was using the elevator, which suddenly stopped midway due to a technical failure. Hearing his cries for help, residents of the apartment immediately alerted the fire brigade and the Disaster Response Force (DRF).
Rescue teams rushed to the spot and used a welding machine to cut open the lift door. The boy was found unconscious inside and was quickly taken to Niloufer Hospital for medical treatment. Doctors confirmed that his condition is now stable.
According to reports, the elevator had stopped due to a technical malfunction, leading to the boy getting trapped. The incident highlights concerns about lift maintenance and safety in residential buildings.
Worker Trapped in Hotel Lift in Warangal
In a separate incident in Warangal, a worker was trapped in a lift at the Grand Gayatri Hotel. Reports indicate that a laborer named Anji got stuck while performing maintenance work.
Hotel staff immediately informed the fire brigade, which arrived at the scene and carried out a complex rescue operation. Rescuers had to create a large opening in the lower section of the lift shaft to free the worker. The operation required considerable effort, and ventilation was provided using a fan until he was safely pulled out.
Both incidents serve as reminders of the importance of regular lift maintenance and prompt emergency response measures.
