Hyderabad: Hyderabad Metro management has reversed course on its recent fare hike, announcing a 10 percent reduction in ticket prices. The revised fares will come into effect from 24 May.
Just days ago, the Metro had increased the minimum fare from ₹10 to ₹12 and the maximum from ₹60 to ₹75. The move triggered sharp criticism from daily commuters and opposition parties alike.
Facing mounting pressure, the administration has now partially rolled back the hike, signalling a course correction in response to public outrage.
