Hyderabad pilgrims tragedy: BRS leaders express grief and seek relief

Hyderabad: BRS chief K. Chandrashekar Rao on Monday voiced shock over the Hyderabad pilgrims tragedy after a Saudi bus accident claimed the several lives of Umrah pilgrims travelling from Mecca to Medina. He urged both the State and Central governments to respond immediately and take necessary steps for affected families.

KCR called for financial aid to the families of the deceased and asked officials to ensure better treatment for those injured. He prayed for the souls of the victims and conveyed his deepest condolences to their families. He also stressed that the response must be swift because the scale of the loss demanded coordinated action.

BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao said the accident was extremely saddening. He added that several victims were from Hyderabad. Therefore, he asked the State government to secure the best possible medical care for the injured. He also requested coordination with the Ministry of External Affairs to intensify relief measures. Moreover, he urged the authorities to identify all victims and extend full support to their families.

Senior BRS leader Harish Rao said he felt deeply saddened by the deaths of Umrah pilgrims, including many from Telangana. He urged both the Telangana government and the Government of India to provide comprehensive assistance to the victims’ families. He added that proper support remained essential because families were dealing with sudden and severe loss.
