In a post on X, Sajjanar noted that many auto-rickshaw, cab, and bike taxi drivers use earphones or watch videos on their phones during duty hours. He said such distractions put the driver, passengers, and other road users at risk.
Sajjanar emphasised that safety must come first on the city’s busy roads. “Safety of self, passengers, and fellow road users is paramount. No distraction is worth a life — stay focused, stay safe,” he wrote, urging all motorists to drive responsibly.
