Hyderabad: In a new effort to promote responsible driving, Hyderabad Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar launched a social media campaign titled #SafeRideChallenge. The initiative aims to turn road safety into a viral trend among citizens.
Hyderabad Police launch #SafeRideChallenge to promote road safety
Under the #SafeRideChallenge, citizens can post a short video or photo showing themselves wearing a helmet or fastening a seat belt before starting their ride. They should then tag three friends or family members and invite them to do the same. This chain reaction, officials said, will spread awareness about safe driving among youth and daily commuters.
Sajjanar urges citizens to make safety a 2025 trend
“Safety never goes out of fashion. Every ride begins with a decision to protect ourselves and our loved ones,” said Commissioner Sajjanar. “Let’s make safety the coolest trend of 2025,” he added. The campaign reminds people to wear helmets, fasten seat belts, and motivate others to follow these habits.
Furthermore, the Hyderabad Police hope to strengthen a culture of safety and responsibility through this digital challenge. The campaign also extends the department’s use of social media for creative public awareness drives.
