Sajjanar directed all licensed firearm holders including politicians, businessmen, and public figures to deposit their weapons at local police stations without delay. This step follows the official notification from the Election Commission of India.
He urged citizens to report any suspicious activity or election code violations by calling Dial 100 or 112. To deter mischief, police will begin binding over rowdy-sheeters and history-sheeters ahead of polling day.
Sajjanar stressed that the goal is to create a safe and intimidation-free atmosphere so voters can cast their ballots with confidence.
