Hyderabad: Hyderabad heavy rains on Sunday evening flooded large parts of the city, paralysed traffic and triggered three nala mishaps. The heavy downpour killed one youth and left two others missing, causing panic among residents.
At Afzal Sagar Nala in Habibnagar, the sudden surge of floodwater swept away two persons. A man slipped into the nala, and his nephew, who jumped in to save him, also got dragged away. Police and disaster response teams began a massive search after the heavy rains in Hyderabad created dangerous currents in several drains.

The heavy rainfall in Hyderabad also claimed another life in Musheerabad. A 24-year-old youth named Sunny sat on a wall near a nala when it collapsed suddenly. He fell into the raging water and died instantly. Police said the Nala overflow worsened after continuous Hyderabad heavy rains in Hyderabad.
