Hyderabad: Telangana will soon set up a Centre of Excellence in Design to position Hyderabad as a global innovation hub, IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu announced on Thursday.
He was speaking at the 21st International Conference on User Experience and Product Design (UXINDIA25), held at Hotel Trident in Hitec City. Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka also attended the event.
Sridhar Babu said the state remains committed to building a design-first ecosystem. He pointed to initiatives such as T-Hub, T-Works, and We-Hub, and said the upcoming AI Innovation Hub will focus on both design and creativity.
“Design is creativity, but it must also be user-friendly. Only then can applications or websites sustain themselves,” he noted.
The minister urged designers to view challenges posed by Artificial Intelligence as new opportunities. He also stated that the government will continue supporting startups and enterprises developing innovative ideas. This effort, he said, will help strengthen Hyderabad’s standing in the global innovation landscape.
