Hyderabad: Hyderabad Traffic Police announced traffic diversions in Dhoolpet from 7 a.m. on August 23 to 10 p.m. on August 27 to facilitate the transport and sale of Ganesh idols.
Authorities said vehicles cannot move between Boiguda Kaman and the Gandhi Statue during this period. Police instructed vehicles carrying Ganesh idols to enter from the Gandhi Statue, Puranapul, and exit through the Bhoiguda Kaman ‘X’ Roads.
Heavy vehicles carrying Ganesh idols are restricted to night hours
Traffic from Gandhi Statue and Puranapul towards Mangalhat will go through Takkarwadi ‘T’ Junction, Jinsi Chowrahi, and Ghode-ke-Khabar. Vehicles from Seetarambagh and Darussalam heading to Mangalhat and Puranapul must divert via Karwan Road, Aghapura, Darussalam, Alaska, MJ Bridge, Jummerath Bazar, and other alternate routes.
Police instructed heavy vehicles transporting Ganesh idols to park at Jummerath Bazar Ground. They can move only after 10 p.m. In case of rain, police will arrange single-line parking from the MJ Bridge to the Jummerath Bazar Road.
Traffic Police urged citizens to avoid the restricted stretch and use alternate routes to ease congestion.
