Hyderabad: City police announced traffic restrictions for Saddula Bathukamma celebrations on September 30. The main procession will move from Amaraveerula Smaraka Sthupam to Bathukamma Ghat at Rotary Children’s Park on Upper Tank Bund.
Police also warned of heavy congestion around Tank Bund and Necklace Road between 2 p.m. and 11 p.m. Therefore, motorists have been advised to take alternate routes during this period.
Hyderabad traffic diversions for Bathukamma celebrations
- Vehicles from Telugu Thalli Junction and Karbala Maidan cannot proceed towards Tank Bund. Instead, police will divert them via Telugu Thalli flyover–Katta Maisamma–DBR Mills–Indira Park–RTC Cross Roads.
- Traffic from VV Statue to NTR Marg will be diverted at Indira Gandhi statue (Necklace Rotary) towards Prasad’s IMAX and Mint Compound Lane.
- Vehicles from Nallagutta Junction to Buddha Bhavan will move instead towards Ranigunj and Necklace Road.
- Traffic from Liberty to Upper Tank Bund will turn at Ambedkar Statue to Iqbal Minar and then reroute via Telugu Thalli flyover.
- Vehicles from Secunderabad to Upper Tank Bund will divert at Karbala Maidan. They will move via Bible House–Jabbar Complex–Kavadiguda–Gandhinagar–Goshala–Dhobighat–Swimming Pool–Bandamaisamma–Indira Park–Telugu Thalli flyover.
- Traffic from Musheerabad and Kavadiguda to Children’s Park will turn at DBR Mills via MRO Office–Dhobighat–Swimming Pool–Bandamaisamma–Indira Park–Katta Maisamma.
Parking arrangements
Authorities have arranged parking at Snow World, NTR Stadium, Race Course Road, BRK Bhavan Road, HMDA Parking, Sanjeevaiah Park, and opposite Lumbini Park.
