Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) announced a 48-hour water supply disruption from 6 a.m. on September 9 to 6 a.m. on September 11.
The shutdown is required to replace 900 mm dia valves under the Godavari Drinking Water Supply Phase-1 project. Teams will also carry out repairs at Murmur, Mallaram, and Kondapak pumping stations.
Hyderabad water supply disruption to affect multiple divisions
Officials confirmed that several areas will face suspension. The affected zones include SR Nagar, Sanathnagar, Erragadda, Banjara Hills, Somajiguda, Jubilee Hills, Lalapet, Tarnaka, Alwal, Yapral, KPHB, Kukatpally, Chintal, Suchitra, Kapra, Kondapur, Madhapur, Gachibowli, Miyapur, Kompally, Nizampet, Pragatinagar, Hakimpet Air Force, Secunderabad Cantonment, and rural regions such as Aler and Ghanpur.
HMWSSB advised residents to store sufficient water in advance and use it carefully during the disruption.
