HYDERABAD: In a shocking turn of events, Hyderabad police have confirmed that Sirisha’s suspicious death was a murder, allegedly committed by her husband Vinay Kumar, his sister Saritha, and their associate Nihal Kumar. The revelation was made by Malakpet ACP Shyam Sundar on Wednesday (March 5) during a media briefing.
According to the police investigation, Saritha and Sirisha had previously worked together at the same hospital. Disputes arose between them regarding Sirisha’s resignation, leading to a heated argument. In a fit of rage, Saritha attacked Sirisha, verbally abused her, and strangled her. Sirisha fell unconscious, after which Saritha suffocated her using a pillow, ultimately killing her.
Husband and Accomplice Tried to Tamper with Evidence
Following the murder, Vinay Kumar attempted to protect his sister Saritha. He, along with Nihal Kumar, tried to tamper with evidence at the crime scene. However, during a meticulous police investigation, their involvement was uncovered.
The police have seized the pillow used for the murder, a bedsheet, and iron rods as key evidence. The three accused—Saritha (A1), Vinay Kumar (A2), and Nihal Kumar (A3)—have been taken into custody and presented before the media.
Further legal proceedings are underway.
