Hyderabad: HYDRAA (Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Monitoring and Protection Agency) officials swung into action at Alwal in Medchal–Malkajgiri district, clearing illegal encroachments on a public park in Reddy Enclave after receiving complaints through the HYDRAA Prajavani platform.
Following an inquiry, authorities confirmed that the entire 2,640 square yards had originally been allocated for the park but had been encroached upon. On July 5, officials removed all structures and fenced the area, erecting a sign reading “Park protected by HYDRAA.”
Locals, who said they had been fighting for the park for 25 years, expressed gratitude over the swift response. They displayed placards reading “Thank You HYDRAA” and welcomed the restoration of their long-awaited public space.
