Hyderabad: With floodwaters from the Musi River receding, Hydra disaster response teams launched a major post-flood cleanup across several localities in Hyderabad. The teams focused on clearing thick sludge, debris, and garbage left by the rains.
Hydra worked with municipal departments to deploy teams in Rasoolpura, Musanagar, Shankar Nagar, Padmavathi Nagar, and Dobhigalli. These colonies, near the Chaderghat and Moosarambagh bridges, saw large deposits of silt and waste. Teams cleared the mess and transported garbage washed in by the Musi flood.
For the past few days, Hydra has worked alongside DRF and MET crews. Locals confirmed that most of the cleaning work is now complete.
Hydra also extended its operations to BN Reddy Nagar and Gayatri Nagar. There, teams repaired damaged roads and cleared blockages to restore movement in the area.
In a separate incident, Hydra DRF personnel retrieved the body of Surakanti Ashok Reddy. He fell into a septic tank in Commercial Tax Colony, Hayathnagar, while out to collect flowers for the Bathukamma festival.
