Hyderabad: Hydraa department officials on Thursday conducted inspections at Damar cheruvu in Bollaram municipality of Jinnaram mandal following complaints of illegal encroachments on the lake.
Officials received reports that private individuals were treating government lake land as private property and had begun construction activities. During the inspection, the team reviewed several unauthorised structures built along the lake area.

The Hydra team expressed strong displeasure over attempts to encroach on public lakes and ponds meant for community use. Officials warned that any such actions would lead to strict legal consequences.
They stated that a detailed investigation is underway, and appropriate legal action will follow based on findings.
Hydraa DEE Archana, CI Balagopal, Hydraa MRO Harshdeep Singh, and Jinnaram MRO Devadas were part of the inspection team, along with officers from the revenue, municipal, and Hydra departments.
