Hyderabad: Senior IAS officer M. Raghunandan took charge as the new Transport Department Commissioner on Thursday. He assumed office at the state transport headquarters in Khairatabad. Joint Transport Commissioner Ramesh welcomed him on the occasion.
The state government recently transferred several IAS and IPS officers in a reshuffle. As part of these changes, Raghunandan, who also serves as Secretary for Agriculture and Cooperation, received the additional responsibility of Transport Commissioner.
Raghunandan appointed Transport Commissioner in Telangana reshuffle
The government appointed him earlier as Commissioner of Commercial Taxes. Alongside, it gave him charge of the Transport Department.
In the reshuffle, the government posted K. Surendra Mohan as Secretary for Agriculture and Cooperation while continuing his role as Government Secretary.
