HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Force (DRF), known as HUDA, carried out a demolition drive in the Qutbullapur area on the outskirts of the city, targeting unauthorised structures built without official permission.
The operation was conducted under the jurisdiction of Suraram Police Station, where a wall was illegally constructed in Survey No. 29 near Suraram Colony, reportedly without access to a public road. Following complaints from local residents, officials initiated action early in the morning.
The demolition began at 5 AM and was executed under tight police security, with a large contingent present to ensure order during the operation. Officials from disaster management and other departments oversaw the process to ensure compliance with regulations.
HUDA officials stated that the wall was built in violation of planning norms and assured that similar action will continue against illegal constructions across the city. They reiterated their commitment to maintaining order and protecting public land from encroachment.
