HYDERABAD: HYDRA officials carried out a demolition drive on Saturday in survey numbers 213 and 214 of Kammaguda, located within the Turkayamjal municipality limits of Ranga Reddy district.
According to reports, several years ago, a man named Ranga Prasad had developed a layout and sold plots in these survey numbers. However, another individual later approached the court claiming ownership of the land. The court ruled in his favour.
Following the verdict, the claimant took possession of the plots nearly two years ago and constructed a free-standing compound wall around the area. This wall blocked access roads to several nearby colonies, causing severe inconvenience to residents.
Recently, affected residents lodged a complaint with HYDRA officials. After conducting an inquiry, officials proceeded with the demolition of the illegally constructed compound wall that had been obstructing public access.
A team of HYDRA personnel took part in the operation on Saturday.
