Illicit liquor death toll in Serilingampally rises to 13

Hyderabad: The death toll from the illicit liquor incident in Serilingampally climbed to 13 after another victim succumbed at NIMS Hospital.

The deceased, identified as Aadepu Vijay, 35, had been undergoing treatment following severe complications triggered by the consumption of spurious liquor. He died during the course of treatment late Wednesday night.

The Serilingampally case has drawn sharp focus on the circulation of adulterated liquor in Hyderabad’s outskirts, with health authorities and police continuing their investigation.
