Empowerment Through Economic Strength
Speaking at the event, CM Revanth Reddy emphasized the importance of women’s empowerment, drawing inspiration from historical figures like Rani Rudrama Devi and Chakali Ilamma. He praised the self-respect and determination displayed by women groups, asserting that their financial independence would contribute to the state’s overall economic growth.
He stated that the state’s economy would reach the $1 trillion mark only when one crore women became millionaires. The government has entrusted the management of government schools to women’s groups to enable them to compete with corporate schools. As part of this initiative, 1.30 crore school uniform stitching contracts have been awarded to these groups.

Infrastructure and Entrepreneurial Support for Women
To further strengthen women’s participation in economic activities, the government is constructing Indira Mahila Shakti Buildings at a cost of Rs 25 crore. These facilities will serve as regular meeting venues for women groups. Additionally, solar power generation plants have been allocated to women entrepreneurs to foster sustainable business opportunities.
The Chief Minister highlighted a structured action plan to help women compete with major business conglomerates like Adani and Ambani. Under this initiative, women self-help groups will be made owners of TSRTC buses. The government has facilitated their entry into the transport sector by renting electric buses to RTC, with a vision for 1,000 electric buses to be owned by women in the coming days.
Political Representation and Policy Support
CM Revanth Reddy credited Rajiv Gandhi for introducing women’s reservations in local bodies and Sonia Gandhi for securing legislative assembly reservations for women. He encouraged women to actively participate in politics and contribute to society. He further highlighted Indira Gandhi’s role in women’s empowerment.
The government is also taking steps to enhance rural economic development by constructing rice mills and godowns for women groups in every mandal. The government will allocate land and provide loans to these groups to help them establish and manage storage facilities, ensuring their financial sustainability.
Vision for the Future
The Chief Minister reaffirmed his commitment to making one crore women millionaires under the Indira Mahila Shakti program, calling it a model for the world. He urged women to move forward with Revanth Anna’s inspiration, Indiramma’s power, and NTR’s commitment.
In a strong political statement, he criticized opposition leaders for focusing on tunnel collapses and agricultural losses instead of providing constructive solutions to crises. He asserted that history does not favor those who indulge in unethical practices.
CM Revanth Reddy concluded the event by reiterating his government’s focus on women’s empowerment, entrepreneurship, and economic development. He emphasized that women should compete with corporate companies and drive the state’s progress.
