Hyderabad: An Infosys employee died and seven colleagues suffered injuries after their car overturned on the Outer Ring Road near Pedda Amberpet on Sunday night.
Police said the group was returning from Saralamma Tanda Maisamma temple in Dandumailaram when the car lost control near Bongulur Gate. The vehicle skidded, flipped several times, and came to a halt.
Overspeeding suspected in accident
The victim, identified as 26-year-old Soumya Reddy, died on the spot. Rescue teams shifted the other seven passengers to a private hospital. Doctors said their condition is stable.
Police suspect overspeeding and steering control loss triggered the crash. Officers registered a case and began investigating the cause of the mishap.
