Hyderabad: BRS leader and former minister G. Jagadish Reddy on Monday hit back at Union Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay, dismissing his allegations against K. T. Rama Rao as “cheap talk.” Speaking to the media, Jagadish Reddy said KTR bought vehicles from the same showroom where Sanjay also purchased his cars. “Anyone can buy second-hand cars. Is this the big discovery Bandi Sanjay is boasting about?” he asked.
Jagadish Reddy further targeted Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy, saying he “lacked brains.” He declared that BRS was ready for a discussion on Krishna river water sharing.

Earlier, Bandi Sanjay accused KTR of using illegally imported luxury cars linked to scam accused Basharat Khan. He claimed that companies tied to KCR’s family registered the Land Cruisers imported by Khan. He demanded to know whether KTR paid the full market value or bought them at undervalued prices.
The BJP leader also raised questions about payments. According to him, they may have been routed through benami names, fake income, or even money laundering. Therefore, he urged investigative agencies to probe the “luxury cars scam” and expose the truth.
In contrast, Jagadish Reddy accused Sanjay of creating baseless allegations only for publicity. He insisted that the BJP leader’s charges lacked substance and said they did not deserve serious attention. Meanwhile, he reminded reporters that even Sanjay had purchased vehicles from the same source.
