Hyderabad: Dasara celebrations at Ambedkar Stadium in Sangareddy featured a grand Ravana Dahanam on Tuesday. Former MLA T. Jayaprakash Reddy, popularly known as Jaggareddy, attended the event with his wife Nirmala. Senior TPCC leader Jetty Kusuma Kumar and others also joined the festivities.
During his address, Jaggareddy made a major announcement on his political plans. He declared that he would not contest the upcoming election. Instead, his wife, Nirmala, would enter the fray from Sangareddy constituency. He added that he planned to return to the electoral field after ten years.

Jaggareddy appealed to youth to stay away from drugs, ganja, and addictive substances. He warned that such habits destroy lives. He also urged youngsters to avoid rash driving and maintain caution on the roads.
The celebrations ended with enthusiastic participation from residents who witnessed the Ravana effigy burning.
