Hyderabad: Tourism and Excise Minister Jupally Krishna Rao on Tuesday said there is growing public demand for Indiramma houses and new ration cards across Telangana.
Surge in applications for housing and welfare schemes
Addressing a face-to-face grievance session at Gandhi Bhavan, Jupally received multiple petitions related to housing, ration cards, Dharani land issues, and passbook corrections. “I have asked officials to act swiftly on the applications collected at today’s event,” he stated.
Government respects Group‑1 ruling
Speaking to the media, he confirmed that the State government would respect the Telangana High Court’s verdict on the Group‑1 Mains results. “We will examine the judgment carefully before proceeding,” he said.
Jupally also hit out at the previous BRS regime for failing to hold Group‑1 exams for over a decade. “Those who failed to act have no right to speak now,” he remarked.
Cherlapally drug case under probe
On the Cherlapally drug manufacturing case, Jupally said he had ordered the Excise Department to investigate and submit a report. “Appropriate action will follow based on the findings,” he assured.
