Hyderabad: The Justice PC Ghose Commission has submitted its report on alleged irregularities in the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project to the Telangana government, marking the end of a 15-month investigation into one of the state’s most controversial infrastructure undertakings.
The report, enclosed in a sealed cover, was handed over by Commission Chairman Justice PC Ghose to Irrigation Department Secretary Rahul Bojja at BRKR Bhavan. The findings pertain to suspected corruption and structural lapses at key Kaleshwaram components Medigadda, Annaram, and Sundilla barrages.
An inquiry into engineering flaws and financial irregularities in the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project has concluded, with the report now expected to reach the Telangana Chief Secretary.
The report’s contents and how the government plans to act on them haven’t been made public yet, drawing sharp attention from both the public and political circles. Once seen as a showcase irrigation project, Kaleshwaram is now under the scanner for ballooning costs, engineering faults, and questions of accountability.
