Hyderabad, February 4: Praja Shanti Party President K.A. Paul has launched a scathing attack on journalist-turned-politician Teenmar Mallanna, calling him a “new package star” in politics, akin to leaders like Sharmila and Pawan Kalyan.
Speaking to the media, Paul alleged that Mallanna has multiple rowdy-sheet cases against him and accused him of working alongside MP R. Krishnaiah to mislead the Backward Classes (BC) community. According to Paul, Mallanna, portraying himself as a BC leader, recently organised a BC meeting with Krishnaiah, spending nearly Rs 80 crores in the process. He claimed that the event was a political ploy aimed at deceiving economically weaker sections.
Paul also accused Krishnaiah of “mortgaging” BC interests to parties like the TDP, YSRCP, and BJP in exchange for political positions. Questioning their intentions, he asked whether the BC community was being treated like beggars in political negotiations. He further asserted that Mallanna is a political disciple of Krishnaiah, pointing to their recent joint BC meeting as evidence.
Meanwhile, Teenmar Mallanna has been actively voicing concerns on BC issues, criticising the caste census conducted by the Congress government as flawed. His strong statements, particularly those targeting the Reddy community, have sparked reactions within his own party. Given that the Congress is advocating for a nationwide caste census, political observers are speculating whether disciplinary action might be taken against Mallanna for his outspoken stance. His increasing influence in BC politics has drawn attention within political circles and Congress ranks.
