Hyderabad: Former MP and Telangana Jagruti Chief K Kavitha criticised the state government after the High Court struck down Government Order 9 on enhanced BC reservations. She said the verdict exposed the “inept handling” of the issue by the Revanth Reddy-led administration.

Kavitha demands immediate legal action
She said the Telangana government must immediately move the Supreme Court. According to her, the state should challenge the delay in approving bills already passed by the Assembly and Council.
Kavitha noted that the delay by the President and Governor went against principles set by the Supreme Court. She added that while local body elections were necessary, social justice held greater importance.
Accuses Congress of inaction
Kavitha accused the Congress government of failing to act on 42 percent BC reservations. She said it made no serious effort for six months to secure approval for the bill or ordinance.
She urged the government to approach the Supreme Court right away to challenge what she called “an inordinate delay” in the decision-making process.
