Hyderabad: Political tension continues in Station Ghanpur as Congress MLA Kadiyam Srihari and former deputy chief minister Thatikonda Rajaiah of BRS exchanged sharp words. BRS leaders demanded that Srihari resign immediately after leaving their party and joining Congress.
Responding to the criticism, Srihari made key remarks at a press meet in Warangal today. He said he joined Congress to ensure development in Station Ghanpur and to work with the government for the constituency’s progress.

The MLA noted that the constituency had reservoirs but incomplete canals. Silt and tree growth blocked water flow and denied irrigation at the tail end. He added that he had raised the issue with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, seeking desilting and CC lining of canals.
Recalling his 2023 win as a BRS candidate, Srihari said he had promised voters that he would bring development. After BRS lost power, he feared the region would face injustice. He believed working with Congress was the only way to achieve the promised development.
