KARIMNAGAR: A tragic incident occurred in Telangana’s Karimnagar district, where a young couple ended their lives by jumping in front of a train after facing opposition from their families.
According to reports, Minugu Rahul (18) from Rachapalli in Illandakunta mandal, Karimnagar district, and Goleti Swetha (20) from Errachinthal village in Khanapur mandal, Nirmal district, met through social media a few months ago. Their online interaction soon blossomed into love.
However, their families did not approve of their relationship. Unable to bear the rejection, the couple, in a moment of distress, died by suicide on the railway tracks near Bizigir Sharif railway station and Papayyapalle gate in Jammikunta mandal.
Police have registered a case and started an investigation. Further details are awaited.
