Hyderabad: Telangana Jagruti President Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Saturday appointed new executive heads for the organisation’s units in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Norway, expanding its footprint across the global Telangana diaspora.
The appointments were finalised before Kavitha departed for her US tour. She said Telangana Jagruti continued to promote cultural identity and welfare for Telangana communities abroad. Committees had earlier been set up in 14 countries, with three more added on Saturday.
Kavitha urged the new heads to focus on strengthening Telangana’s global presence and to work for the welfare of its people in their respective countries.
Harisha Voore will lead the South Africa unit, while Mahender Reddy Bemmadi and Prasad Rao Bikkineni will head the Zimbabwe and Norway branches respectively.
