Jagruthi leaders protest removal of Kavitha banners ahead of Nalgonda visit

Hyderabad: Telangana Jagruthi president Kalvakuntla Kavitha toured Nalgonda on Wednesday as part of the organisation’s ‘Janam Baata’ programme. Ahead of her visit, Jagruthi leaders put up flex banners and hoardings with Kavitha’s images across the town.

However, municipal authorities reportedly removed the banners overnight. The action triggered anger among Jagruthi members, who condemned it as unnecessary and politically motivated. They alleged that officials acted under pressure from local political forces.

Jagruthi leaders allege political motive behind banner removal

Leaders said the removal came just before Kavitha’s public interaction in Nalgonda, raising doubts about the intent behind the move. They argued that the banners were part of a public outreach initiative, not a political campaign.

The issue has sparked discussion in Nalgonda, with residents questioning whether the removal of Kavitha’s banners was a routine administrative step or a politically driven action.
