Kavitha mourns Telangana lyricist Andeshree’s sudden death

Hyderabad: Former MP and Jagruti president Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Monday expressed deep shock over the sudden death of Telangana anthem lyricist Andeshree, saying his loss had left the state’s literary world in grief. She said his work in the Telangana statehood and cultural movements would remain unforgettable.

Reacting on X, Kavitha wrote, “The sudden death of Dr Andeshree, the poet and lyricist of the movement song ‘Jaya Jayahe Telangana,’ has deeply shocked me. His contribution to the Telangana statehood movement and its cultural struggle will be remembered forever. I pray for peace to his soul and convey my heartfelt condolences to his family.”

Andeshree’s sudden demise has plunged the Telangana literary community into sorrow. Political leaders, poets, and public figures across both Telugu states continued to express condolences. His songs, especially ‘Jaya Jayahe Telangana,’ played a vital role in awakening public emotion during the statehood movement.

Kavitha said Andeshree’s voice represented Telangana’s spirit and that his literary legacy would continue to inspire future generations.
