Hyderabad: Telangana Jagruthi president K. Kavitha vowed to continue the fight for residents of Jalal Baba Nagar and Bhupal Nagar, who have been waiting decades for relief from long-pending land title issues. She met families in the Rajendranagar constituency and listened to their concerns about the unresolved status of their homes. Moreover, she assured them that the struggle would continue until they received formal land rights.
Kavitha said she had been visiting several neighbourhoods where civic and land problems remained unsolved for years. She pointed out that many governments promised solutions but failed to act. Additionally, she noted that her outreach aimed to highlight these issues before the state so that timely action could follow.
Land title issues persist for 45 years in Rajendranagar
The land title issues have affected nearly 2,000 families living across 25 acres for more than 45 years. Kavitha explained that residents built their homes with hope, yet no government provided the title deeds they deserved. She said political parties—whether BJP, BRS or Congress—spoke of solutions, but no administration completed the process. Furthermore, she stressed that public welfare should not depend on party identity.
She stated that resolving the issue required the government to allocate double the existing land to the Forest Department. This step, she said, would make it possible for the state to legally distribute pattas to the residents. Kavitha urged the government to act without delay because the community had waited long enough.
Kavitha promises sustained fight for land title issues
The land title issues in Rajendranagar prompted Kavitha to call for a clear and immediate intervention. She said one strong push was necessary to move the process forward. Jagruthi, she added, had taken up that responsibility and would stand by the people until the final order. Moreover, she pledged that the organisation would continue to raise this issue until every eligible family received secure land rights.
Residents expressed hope that her visit might finally bring momentum to their long-pending demand. Kavitha concluded by reaffirming that the struggle would continue until justice was achieved.
