Hyderabad: BRS president K. Chandrashekar Rao and other senior party leaders expressed grief over the death of Telangana writer Kompelli Venkat Goud, known for his contributions to socio-historical literature and Bahujan advocacy.
KCR described Goud’s passing as a major loss to Telangana’s literary and cultural landscape. He recalled the writer’s efforts in recording the history of Sardar Sarvai Papanna and spreading Telangana ideology through his works. The former Chief Minister also extended condolences to Goud’s family.
BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao and Siddipet MLA T. Harish Rao also paid tributes. KTR noted that Goud’s writings, including Voduvani Muchata and Neella Muchata, preserved the ideals of Professor Jayashankar and Vidyasagar Rao. He praised Goud’s lifelong dedication to uplifting weaker sections and promoting Telangana identity.
Harish Rao highlighted Goud’s contributions in documenting the life of Sarvai Papanna and in expressing the cultural self-respect of the Goudanna community.
Kompelli Venkat Goud had been undergoing treatment for an illness and passed away recently. His most recognised works include Voduvani Muchata, Neella Muchata, and Sarvai Papanna Charitra.
