HYDERABAD: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) president and former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) held a key meeting with party leaders at Telangana Bhavan on Wednesday. The discussions focused on future strategies, upcoming local body elections, and silver jubilee celebrations.
Around 400 key leaders attended as KCR stressed the need to strengthen the party’s structure. He announced plans to form committees at all levels, from villages to the state, for better election preparedness. Leaders also discussed organizing a large public meeting at the month’s end to energize supporters.
As BRS marks 24 years, the party is gearing up for its silver jubilee. KCR proposed a two-day plenary session and a major gathering on April 27, the party’s foundation day, to reinforce its vision.
This meeting also marked KCR’s return to Telangana Bhavan after six months. Before arriving, he visited the Secunderabad Passport Office to switch from a diplomatic to a regular passport.
The BRS leadership is actively mobilizing its cadre and crafting a strong electoral strategy to challenge opposition parties. The meeting’s decisions will shape the party’s direction in the coming months.
As the silver jubilee approaches, KCR plans to launch new initiatives to strengthen the party and attract a wider electorate. More details will emerge as foundation day nears.
